As decision making gets more complex and stakeholders more demanding, the skills and strategies of good facilitation are more important than ever before. Leading a group successfully through a deliberation or decision making process doesn't happen by chance! Yet so often planners, designers and policy makers are thrown in front of a group to sink or swim.
This course will provide you with the foundations that you need to work more confidently when you are in front of a group, "Fearless Facilitation" will step you through the process of planning a purposeful meeting or workshop, actively engaging all participants, managing challenging issues and most importantly managing yourself when the going gets tough!
These facilitation skills can be applied in a range of different contexts from managing inter-disciplinary teams, co-design processes and community or stakeholder engagement.
