Join experts in strategic and statutory planning for a full day workshop on the development of places and spaces that encourage health and wellbeing.
This course offers an understanding of the role the built environment has on health for both individuals and communities.
We know it’s easier to be active if your local area:
- is close to shops, schools and services so you can walk or cycle, instead of driving.
- has supportive infrastructure such as footpaths and bike paths and safe road crossings.
- offers quality spaces that improve wellbeing – and are worthwhile visiting – such as green shaded areas, plazas, open space and recreational facilities.
Join us to learn how to apply and embed these principles to both statutory and strategic planning work and outcomes as well as to your planning scheme.
